National Park Brijuni

The only national park in Istria. It consists of 14 islands of this archipelago is one of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean and play a unique natural and cultural heritage. Indigenous plants, remarkably well-preserved Mediterranean maquis and meadows on which graze safely fallow deer, mouflon and chitals – it’s all part of the unique landscape of Brijuni. Excursion program includes a tourist train ride to remote archaeological sites, a tour of the bay Verige where once a Roman villa rustica, and a safari park in which they live in a harmonious community, zebras, Somali sheep, Indian cattle, camels, llamas and elephants. On Brijuni are archaeological sites, safari park and golf course.
